How to save a window to open later, like a pdf on a specific page

I often find myself in a situation where I have waay to much stuff open, like a movie paused at 32 minutes, 2 pdf documents in the middle, and all this clutter destroys my productivity, so I would have to take notes like "open document xy and continue reading at page y".

This takes a lot of time, is there a software solution that can create a link, like this: http://ift.tt/1NWpbyS, but with videos and pdf documents, like: openpdf://path-to-doc/page32

Probably it could work by saving the program's memory usage into disk, and closing it, then when I click the link the special software could load back the memory part of the adobe reader, and open it up like it was.

Something like windows hibernation, but with specific software.

Thanks
