Named Events to notify Windows Application

I have a requirement to send notification events from Windows Service to a Windows console/Forms application using Named Events like Auto Reset Events and Manual reset events. I understand that AutoResetEvents and Manual Reset Events are used for advanced thread synchronization, but not sure how I can use them for sending event notifications to another process. I tried to search for any samples but could not find. Please let me know if any one of you have worked on these/or guide me through any sample.
