I am stuck in a windows environment for now and would like to use gvim as my main tool. I accept, however, that sometimes it might be more pragmatic to use an ide (especially as I am interested in playing with android and game dev with unity5) and so I would like to set up a synchronised workflow. I know that there exist emulators for vim keymappings, but that isn't enough. I would like to use them in addition. Advice for setting up a synchronised workflow is appreciated. I will probably be using eclipse or android studio, possibly visual studio at some times.
Any advice for more effectively navigating windows with a keyboard is helpful too, at the moment I have to interrupt my flow by using the mouse to switch between windows if I want to jump to my browser, messenger or git bash etc Ideally I could with a couple of keystrokes bring an application to the front. Is there a way to do that natively in windows? or are there any recommended applications that can do that for me?
Help is appreciated.
