I'm trying to find a way for my students to be able to access a simulation application stored on the university's server more easily throughout the semester. I currently have my students follow instructions to go to My Computer, then type \\HypotheticalDriveName into the address bar, if prompted for login credentials(doesn't usually happen) then use "student" for both username and password, then right click on HypotheticalFolderName in that drive, click "Map Network Drive...", map the parent folder as W:, then access W:\ANOTHERFOLDER, right click on the application, and create a shortcut on their desktop. Many of my students somehow have trouble doing this, and I would like to have a file of any type that they can simply download and run to do all of those steps for them. In my mind this seems like a relatively simple program to make, but I do not have any sort of programming background to go about doing this myself. I greatly appreciate any guidance you may be able to offer. Additionally, the application only works on Windows OS, so the solution for doing this also only needs to work on Windows. Thanks again, in advanced, for any assistance.
