Redirecting traffic to a certain proxy while making exceptions

I have developed an application that runs on localhost and it provides internet access. For example I can surf the internet by navigating to http://ift.tt/1JQCEGC. Now I need to redirect the whole traffic to the 127.0.0.1:7780 while making my application as an exception so that my app will directly access the internet while the web browser data would be redirected to that app.

I've already tried proxyfire but it does not appear to be working. So I just wanna know what the best way is to do this? what software or technique can be used? (not a networking expert)
