- I've googled my brains out on this topic and I can't find benchmarks of 32 bit vs 64 bit Apache and PHP - anyone know of any?
- All versions of x64 PHP on windows are prominently labeled "EXPERIMENTAL".
- Firewalled intranet app, moderately large custom app, only 12 simultaneous users max.
- Financial data so really uncomfortable going experimental over stable although speed is an issue.
- Can only mix 64 and 32 Apache and PHP with FCGI... which has got to be worse than just staying all 32 bit right?
- Doing a server upgrade to Win server 2012r2 and before being safe and staying all 32 bit just wanted to know if there are any negatives I'm missing in not going 64 bit.
- MySQL 64 bit runs fine no issues there.
So far I gather that Apache itself is only 5% faster, if that, with 64 bit version. No info on PHP but plenty of people still seem to stick with 32 bit.
THANKS! =)
