how to check an application is running on multiple IP addresses

I have a web application which is running on multiple machines which has an IP addresses ranging from 10.0.0.01 to 10.0.0.1000.

so now I want to know on the list of machines(IP addresses) which has the web application up and running and which are not.

so please suggest me is there any way to do it in java or is there any commands to find out easily.
